Has anyone upgraded to the new VI/VE yet? Just wondered how it plays with Finale. I'm going to look over the video tuts today and I've downloaded it but haven't installed yet.

Well I'll answer my own question. I decided to install the updated Vienna Instrument player and had no issues. I like the interface mostly because I can see the entire matrix without having to scroll back and forth. I played a bit with the built in reverb and I think it sounds better than Finale's reverb offering. I've started using reverb in the Vienna Ensemble however so this isn't a real issue for me. It seems like the samples load a little faster and in fact I started playing back the file before the instruments were completely loaded which I don't think I was ever able to do before. Loading progress is clearly displayed at the top of each instance of VI.
Evidently there's an updated version of Vienna Ensemble automatically installed as well but I can't tell any difference there.
Anyway for anyone concerned about introducing any issues into existing Finale work you might be doing, I don't see any so far. I think you could upgrade without worries.
