Does anyone use this with Finale? I downloaded demo versions of this to try. It's ok I guess but I'm not overly impressed actually but I haven't tried it with anything very large.

Happy New Year Steve. We seem to be the only ones who visit!
Did you end up getting MIR?

I check this site once in a while and you're right we're the lonely posters.
Anyway yes I have a demo of MIR Pro24. It took me a bit to figure out how to use it and I'm happy to say it's wonderful even with a fairly large orchestra (double winds, strings, harp and handful of percussion instruments). So I will be saving my pennies and that will be my next purchase even though there are other samples I'd like to get. I probably won't get VEP though. I have a demo license for that but I haven't found a dire need to justify the price yet.

If you use VSL exclusively, VEP is less necessary. Needing multiple systems is hardly an issue anymore, and MIR runs as a VST. I tried the MIR24 demo too. For the small scale chamber stuff I do I prefer Spaces. Very clean sound. There's bound to be some sort of sale on MIR. Some day

That would be great if it were discounted. It seems though that the really great software put out by the Vienna folks is seldom if ever discounted. Or at the least it doesn't work out that I have the money when the product is discounted

EW extended the 50% off sale, so you could get Spaces for $150 + iLok.

Yeah I'm sure it sounds great, but it just doesn't do what MIR PRO does. Maybe it does but I don't see it. I'll save my money and see. Maybe I'll end up getting in on a deal with EW though; who knows. I had to get a new furnace today (installed tomorrow) so the EW product is looking more doable

So to use Spaces with Finale do you have to run Spaces inside of VEPro? I was reading it requires a 64-bit host and Finale certainly isn't 64-bit.
